Today was our YELLOW THEME DAY… DAFFODIL DAY ….. and what a magnificent day it turned out to be. We had a field of 27… and all decked out in yellow … the field looked absolutely fabulous today, with their yellow balloons festooning from their buggies and carts … and yellow adorning the course, just made you feel rather happy and lucky that you are able to play golf on such a sunny day  and on a great course.

Special thanks goes to Marie Ross for the beautiful yellow knitted blanket,  Di Casey for the lovely decorated box, Denise Grozier for arranging the stunning hamper, Jan Esplin for the yummy yellow cup cakes, Amanda Jacobson for donating and the beautiful wrapping of gifts , Ros Withers for the donation of the daffodil pins and to Jane and Romena who prepared our lovely lunch. Haven’t forgotten our roving photographer, Janine , for all the great shots you will see on our facebook page.

But  huge thank you goes to all the ladies at Tally Valley who today, came along, got ‘yellowed’ and had a lovely day.

Our competition fees  today and the sale of Daffodil Pins will be donated to the Cancer Council.

Another lovely day at Tally Valley, and the course continues to play really well… huge thank you goes to Noie and his team for their great work.

We had a field of 23 today … the sunshine is certainly helping us to get out of bed these days, with more lovely days to come, and everybody looked fabulous decked out in their green and orange for our theme day.

The management of the Club have asked those with private carts to please not park them in the car park after our game; with the Covid 19 restrictions, the golf course is always fully booked in the afternoon, due to not being able to cross the border (and come back easily) for visiting players.

Well, what a strange day it was today, with no NTP, no Long Drives, people wearing masks (who is that lady under the mask :)).  No presentation, the weather was odd, the wind cool, (cold to some), it tried to rain on our parade… we had a real mixture of everything. One person per cart; this is the way it will be for the next Covid fortnight.

Thursday’s game was to be Stroke and Putt, but now, it will be Single Stableford,  as will the remainder of games for the next fortnight. According  to Golf Australia, this is the only game permitted under the new  Covid golf  rules.

As you are probably aware,“ Chicks with Stiks” at Boomerang Farm golf course, has been postponed due to Covid restrictions,and those that have already paid for this day,  will have their money refunded. Our Daffodil Day has been postponed, till Thursday 26th August.

Well, what a absolutely beautiful day it was at Tally Valley today…. almost summer conditions …. We had a field of 18 on this glorious day.

Todays game was a mystery game, which was a bit of fun, because no one knew where they were coming, until the computer did its bit. It was originally down for “Wipeout” but Mi Golf doesn’t recognize that, hence, Super Sixes (same format sort of).

Was another perfect day for golf today, the course was great and the run has returned …. We had a field of 21, all looking wonderful in their Xmas attire… and the buggies & carts were decorated beautifully … A very special thank you to Ruth & Warren Williams for cooking our sausage & onion sizzle, they did a fantastic job, as well as supplying the lovely garden salads. Thank you also goes to Jacqui for her yummy coleslaw, and also to Jane for decorating the tables with Xmas cheer. It was a truly lovely day, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
