We had a field of 24 today, for this team game of 4.  The weather gods were kind to us, and the course played well, except for the usual wet spots after all the rain last week. Let’s hope we’ve seen the last of the rain for a while hey.

We had a field of 24 today, and we also had weather …good golfing weather …

We had a Committee Meeting this afternoon, and the following applies to Matchplay Champs: No matchplay on days of team events.. i.e. this Monday 12 July … as it’s not fair to the comp girls to reduce the field… as this is a team game, and teams selected by the Club Captain, we ask you to register to play FOR on Monday  by 4pm on Sunday…  and anybody not registered, can still play at the back of the field, tho not in the competition.  Matchplay can be on Thursday, as this is a 2 lady ambrose … and not a handicap game. Neither games next week will be handicap games. As stated in our programme, which I ask you all to read the rules of play at Tally Valley … particularly, avoiding slow play rules, as recently there has been a lot of this.

Also in the Matchplay, as stated… “Players’ handicaps on the current day of play will prevail throughout the competition.

We had a field of 22 today, the course was a tad soggy in places, with no run, made for a ‘fun day’.  Of the 22 players, who completed the course, 9 ladies did not want to enter play Matchplay Champs: so that has brought the field back to the top 8 qualifiers only, so we are sorry that some of you missed out. The format of qualifying for Matchplay will be looked into next year., to make it fair for everyone who wants to participate.

Another chilly start, but the sun was glorious… and the course is in terrific condition…. We had a field of 20 today, our numbers are remaining a tad low, with so many away …. Sorry to hear Jacquie has a sore back, and trust she will be back on the course very soon.

As stated in the programme, Thursday was to be ‘District Trophy’ … this no longer applies, as the District cancelled this event… But we will still have Stroke & Putt.

The power was out, due to the replacement of power lines out the front of the Club, but we still managed presentation for those that stayed … just did it the old fashion way …. manually ..

We thank Tallebudgera Golf Course for hosting this event ..and golly gee, what a disastrous day for we ladies from Tally Valley. Stableford was, as usual, the game of the day.

T’was a rather chilly day… just a tad …. most would call it freezing … and froze we did.. all day … the name of the game today was … chase the sun.

There were a total of 84 players today, and alot of fun was had with the lovely ladies from all the Clubs involved. The food was lovely, the drinks even better, to drown our sorrows, and the raffles were great. We at Tally have certainly set a trend on the raffles presentations.

As you can see by the scores, Tally didn’t fare too well….which came as a bit of a shock to most, cos we certainly have never played sooo badly, but that’s golf …. and maybe this is the boot up the bum we need, to improve for our next challenge at Boomerang Farm in August.
