Well, today was a fun day with a field of 19…. no stress and anxiety .. perfect day and perfect game for a post Club Champs hit out, and was enjoyed by everyone. The course continues to have  great run, even after a duff shot … gotta love that.

I would like to remind everyone, that all team events, you MUST be booked in by 4pm the previous day … if not,  the field is set,  you will be playing social at the back of the field. Alot of time goes into sorting team events to make the handicaps fair for all …. hence, the field will not be changed once set. If you are not sure when a team event is coming up …. please check your programme.

Was lovely to see Lorraine Gent with us again today, along the Carol Gill, both have been on an extended break for one reason or another..

It was a rather chilly wind that greeted us this morning.. the sun was trying to warm us up .. trying being the operative word. We had a field of 29 today, with 24 being in the Club Champs. The course looked fabulous with us all in our Club shirts , and the run has returned with gusto, which made, yet again, some terrific scores.

Was another great day at Tally today, with great scoring as you can see:

Mondays game is Florida Scramble …please put you names down as this will be a drawn team event.. Not handicapped … but just a bit of fun after the last couple of weeks of serious stuff. It’s basically an ambrose game with a twist …

I personally would like to thank Amanda for all her hard work she has done in getting the CC rounds coordinated and we manage we get the television up and running (with a couple of interferences) .. which proved a diversion and interest after the games for our ladies.

Thank you to Ruth K for distributing all the prizes after each game and doing a great job… to Janine for raffle ticket selling and putting out all the NTP each day… to Jacqui for taking our new ladies out for their “cards”, Fran for assisting with the PA system…. the committee is a combined effort, and a personally want to thank you all so much.

Well, it certainly was an absolutely beautiful day to be on the golf course today, we are extremely privileged at Tally Valley.. with the course playing so well, and just enjoying each others company and the sunshine, not to mention, all the baby ducklings and plovers sauntering around the fairways.

We had a field of 24 today, for our team event … please note, that team games ARE NOT handicapped … and the idea is, if you can’t better a score, you pick up and move to the next tee area. Janine will cover this, along with the requirements for the Club Championships, and also the local rules to read on the board, in our facebook page.

As mentioned last month, we had a poll on facebook regarding a later start next winter … the poll was 13 for and 13 against…BUT …the management of Tally Valley advised me that a later start was not possible for the time period we requested…so all start times remain the same.

We have booked Burleigh Sports Club again for our Christmas lunch and presentation, for save the date, THURSDAY 9TH DECEMBER. More info to follow later.

Thursday game is Stroke & Putt Monthly Medal. Club Champs start next Monday or 2 weeks… please book on line for this… more info in newsletter and facebook page.
